About Winlow Place

The Winlow Place Addition was platted in 1923, and developed in 1925. The 50-year-old deed restrictions were re-written and renewed on January 1st, 1975, and amended again in 2000.

Winlow Place Civic Club was organized on July 21st, 1965, and is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the neighborhood and to the enforcement of the residential deed restrictions. Winlow Place Civic Club exists as a Texas a 50l(c)(4) non-profit organization.

Winlow Place Civic Club represents 440 households and over 700 individuals, as well as the Westheimer and West Alabama commercial properties. Our boundaries, as shown on this map are from Dunlavy on the east, to Westheimer on the north, to McDuffie on the west, to West Alabama on the south.

Our historian Audrey Cook has researched a number of Winlow Place homes built between 1923 and 1929, with information on the builder and sales price. She can be reached at 713.522.9398 - give her a call to find out if she has information on your home.
