Growing the next generation of neighborhood shade, with a neighbor caring for every tree.

THREE SIMPLE WAYS TO TAKE PART
We have identified 150+ locations where new trees could shade Winlow Place streets and sidewalks. Now we need neighbors to turn them into healthy, lasting canopy for the next century. Read our National Night Out update
SPONSOR
Help fund neighborhood trees. Give $250, $500, or $1,000 toward the canopy. $250, with the City match, plants two trees. You do not need to adopt a tree to sponsor one.
ADOPT
Care for a tree. Claim a spot in the right of way by your sidewalk and commit to watering and basic care while the tree gets established.No donation required.
HELP
Volunteer your time. Review proposed locations, recruit neighbors, help on planting day, or help a neighbor with watering.
Giving and caring are separate: sign up to sponsor, to adopt, or both.

We are applying for the City's full $5,000 match, so every dollar given before we buy the trees is doubled, up to $10,000.

QUESTIONS
Where will trees go? Only in the City right of way by the sidewalk, not on private property.
Who waters? The neighbor who adopts the tree, for its first two years.
Are membership dues paying for this? No. Every tree is paid for by a neighbor's gift and the City’s match.
Can I give by check? Yes. Print the donation form, or pick one up from a board member, and mail it with your check to WPCC Treasurer, PO Box 980712, Houston, TX 77098. Check gifts count toward the City match the same as online gifts.
